So onwards with the debate on whether or not the mobile phone is actually a better thing to use than the landline is the final part of the argument.

Charging

Isnt the mobile phone always dying because of the battery life it has? It would seem that the landline can do this a lot too. There are many phones out there that are very similar to the mobile now, many wireless landlines are built on the designs of the older landlines. The only main problem with these phones is that they have very little life within them so although you do not have to keep running downstairs to get the phone you have to keep charging it. Surely it is better to keep a mobile phone in the house rather than have a landline if you have one of these phones?

Landline Advances

So as you can see the landline is being forced to switch into an almost mobile device however there are many landline features that are currently unique to the landline that actually make it something worthwhile. One of the best things you can get is the fax machine/phone which is bascially a two in one feature, it means you do not have to buy both which is always a good sign.

Although not technically something the landline has, fax to email is certainly a great invention as it will turn all of the incoming faxes into emails and send them off to whoever needs to have them.

The Truth

The truth behind it all is that the mobile is used more because it is a lot easier to use and has so many added features that benefit the individual with the phone. The other thing is that you can get things like premium rate phone numbers and 0800 numbers on your mobile phone which is why a lot of businesses are choosing to give out mobiles rather than spend money on landlines.
